Best HD Settings For Youtube and Vimeo
Best HD Settings for Vimeo and Youtube in Sony Vegas
We all know HD is the future and with the plethora of new high defintion camcorders being released every month it seems as if the the transition to HD will be swift and painless. If you are like me and have just invested in a high definition video camera you may be asking yourself the same question, what are the export HD settings for the web.
I can’t speak for people using mac’s or for anyone else using something other than Sony Vegas to edit your videos but if you are using Vegas you have come to the right place. First I would like to say that you may find many different “optimal” settings around the web, but I guarantee with my settings your videos will look AMAZING on when uploaded to the web.
I’m going to keep the written part short because I have made a video tutorial just for you guys.
1. Open up Vegas and open up your project settings by pressing ALT + Enter.
2. In the template field select HDV 1080-60i if you are located in an NTSC region and HDV 1080-50i if you are located in a PAL region.
3. Field order should be set to “upper field first”. Full resolution rendering quality should be set to “best”. Deinterlace method should be set to “Interpolate fields”.
For the complete video tutorial with finalized render settings, check here.
I have decided not to embed the video here because I created it in Camtasia and forgot to turn auto play off.
