Common Video Editing Effects

I was looking for some new video editing effects to write tutorials about and I came across this site. This guy talks about the ten main video editing effects used today and I thought instead of me writing a bunch of tutorials I would just link you guys to this. I recommend you get familiar with all these effects as you will probably be using them a lot in your videos.
