Mafia 2 Release Date and Information
The highly anticipated sequeal to Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven has finally received a release date. According to gamestracker and IGN Mafia 2 will be released worldwide during the month of October this year (2009). It will support the three major gaming consoles, those being the PC, PS3 and the XBOX 360.
Mafia 2 developed by 2K Czech will allow completely unrestricted gameplay to ten square miles and will house a sandbox type style to it. Mafia 2 will be set between the 40s and 50s.
The game is primarily centered around the rise to power of “Vito Scaletta”, the son of sicilian immigrants. Many of the missions in the game give the player to decide his own fate, as a result of the actions and decisions he makes in Mafia 2.
All in all, this is an incredible game and I think it’s one of the only games that really has that gritty, authentic feel to it. I remember playing the original a few years back and commenting on the fantastic job the developers did with the realism of the game. Apart from that, the storyline is amazing and leaves nothing to be desired.
