Make Money with Forums
Now everyone has a hard time making money with forums. The click through rate is so poor that you’d be lucky if you could make $5 a day on really busy forum, yes it’s that bad. But, I have discovered a another way of making money with a forum. You can do so by attaching a store to it. I suggest using a script such as BANS or Associate-O-Matic.
I’ve never used Associate-O-Matic, but I have heard good things about it. I just don’t like the fact that the cookie from Amazon expires in a 24 hour period. That’s total bs, it should be up there with Ebay. I bet a lot of people would be making a lot more money if Amazon increased it. I’m sure you won’t see that any time soon since we’re in a recession and stores are trying to cut corners anyway that they can.
On the flip side of that there’s BANS(build a niche store). It’s a great script and all, but by itself it’s kind of poor. The way you add content is kind of crappy, it only allows a few articles since you can’t create pages for the content. That’s why adding it to a forum would be a perfect idea. You don’t have to worry about the content factor and second you will be making money with your forum. Another great thing about BANS is how easy it is to customize. You can easily match the template of your forum by just doing some minor modifications to the css file.
Take my word for it, you can make money with this idea. But, you have to be able to grab your guest eye with a banner or link to your store. Forum software I use is Vbulletin. I’m sure you can have the same results with PHPbb or IPB. Try it out!

So how exactly does BANS work in bringing you income? Does the revenue come from affiliate sales or?

Of course, through ebay partner network. However, you do make money when people register on Ebay too. You’d be surprised how prone people are to making a bid on a used product. Well new or used, the whole auction thing has people glued to ebay.
