Pentagon’s Fighter Jet Project Hacked
This is the stuff that keeps me up late at night, if the Pentagon’s super secret project’s aren’t safe from hackers. How secure is my bank account and all my private information such as my social security number. I love electronics, but they have really opened up a door for predators. Pentagon actually being one of their prey!
The Joint Strike Fighter is the Pentagon’s most costly project ever, so it’s definitely a problem when some hackers have stole a pile of data from their server without even getting caught. Supposedly the reason the Pentagon can catch the criminals is they encrypted the data on their way out, so they government has no clue what their IP address or what country they could be from.
One country that could be under suspicions is China. The Chinese Embassy said in a statement that China “opposes and forbids all forms of cyber crimes.” It called the Pentagon’s report “a product of the Cold War mentality” and said the allegations of cyber espionage are “intentionally fabricated to fan up China threat sensations.” Is that scary or what?
Just remember to change your passwords frequently and don’t respond to messages or links from unknown users through email, facebook, and myspace. Those social networks have been prime targets for a way to get into your computer.

I agree, this is scary. What is even more scary is that the government can’t do anything about it!
