Recripocal Linking
My take on recripocal linking, is it good or bad? I think it is good, to a point though. I suggest only doing a few recripocal links(5-10) on just the niche you’re blogging about. If you do anything off topic you won’t gain any traffic or better ranking in the search engine. Do them over time also, if you add a bunch of recripocal links within a small amount of time Google may penalize you.
The first link to your site could be a recripocal link trade and it’s not a bad way to go. Easy to get and easy way to get noticed in the search engine.
A lot of SEO people say it is bad, but I don’t believe that. Most of these SEO professionals have money and techniques that can get you higher ranking in search engines. But, if you’re like me and don’t have a huge budget to spend on SEO, I suggest doing a few recripocal trades. From my experience it can’t hurt you, I’ve benefited from it, you can just look at my bank account : ) I mean come on, you think some of these companies that own sites like teamxbox.com and rottentomatoes.com did their own link building. Hell no! They paid a company to do it, lets get realistic here!
Traffic has a lot to do with content also, so don’t worry too much on one way links. Build them up over time, concentrate on good unique content.

I totally agree, reciprocal links can benefit you if you are linking with sites that have a higher PR or quality status. To be honest, I gave it up a while ago.
