Resistance 2 Beta Keys Delayed
No beta keys due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’
Although the Resistance 2 closed beta has been up and running since mid August, there is more bad news for Qore purchases and eager kids waiting to get their hands on the public beta. The premiere wave of players (Qore purchasers/subscribers/pre orders) were supposed to be sent their codes by October the 17th however the majority have not yet received a confirmation. Sony blames the delay on ‘unforeseen circumstances’ which means that websites such as IGN are not going to be receiving their beta codes either.
- Sony has given assurances the the issues will be rectified shortly.
The public beta boasts impressive graphics and gameplay and is said to be quite ’similar’ to the final build. It will consist of maps from three locations in the game which support up to 60 players. New modes ‘Skirmish’ and ‘Core’ faculty will be supported, along with Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. The co-op serving of the beta presented, will be focussed on Orick, and will support randomization of your play-path. Both co-op and online modes will concur matchmaking and class/character progression up to rank 10. This allows unlocking of new equipment, upgrades and berserks for recommendation customization.
Resistance 2 is coming together to look like a great game and with stunning visuals and weapon systems, it may be the game of 2009. (Although it comes out this year)
