Though most of the users of this slim phone feel that besides the new look and feel there are not many updates done as far as features are concerned.

Samsung Instinct was their answer to the more popular iPhone as was apparent from the way the phone was designed with minimum buttons and a large touch screen. The new Samsung Instinct S30 also marked by Sprint has the same design but has a curvier sexier look which is much better than the box shaped original model. Coming in two shades electric cobalt blue and flaming copper this phone has a 3.2 inch screen and only few buttons that are easy to use. The buttons though makes it easy to navigate the phone, Samsung Instinct S30 still scores low on elegance and simplicity as compared to iPhone layout. The lack of accelerometer that automatically chances the display to horizontal or vertical view with the way you move the phone is not present in this mobile. The touch screen comes with a haptic feedback but still many users find it to be cumbersome.

This device is surely not for the gizmo freaks as it doesn’t come with all the high end office software. Like other basic mobiles it has an organizer, calendar, notepad and few games. More applications and games can be downloaded by making use of Sprint’s services but the choices are limited as compared to those provided by Apple.

Browsing the web using Samsung Instinct S30

Samsung Instinct S30 comes with EvDO network and therefore you can enjoy high speed browsing provided there is good network connectivity. However it doesn’t support Rev. a services which are faster than EvDO Rev 0 though this feature was available in the original model. Samsung Instinct S30 also doesn’t have features to support Wifi Wireless network. You also have the option to select the desktop view mode or mobile viewing mode while using the browser. Again the sidebars present in the web browser simply occupy too much space leaving very little screen for viewing the webpage.

Like the original Samsung Instinct model you can add your email account in a jiffy by simply entering your username and password. Also sending and receiving text messages are easy and fun with the option of sending even photo messages. It is also easy to download all the popular IM clients on Samsung Instinct S30 desktop.

Samsung Instinct S30 Multimedia Features

This new model has the same old camera as the previous Samsung Instinct phone which doesn’t have a flash and lacks the presence of any photo editing software. But Samsung Instinct 30 has a support of Sprint TV which makes it possible for you to watch live footballs games and download good music to hear on its excellent music player.

Priced at $100 for 2 year agreement this mobile is expensive as it lack many business features.
