We all want to live life to the fullest but in order to that we need to be healthy.

A wise man once said “With health comes happiness” contrary to the popular belief of ‘ with money comes happiness’.

The following is a collection of tips that you should excercise daily in order to keep your health up and your blood pressure down.
1. When making a sandwich add more vegetables. Add vegetables like tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, mushrooms, or any type of fresh vegetables.

2. Add more fiber to your breakfast cereal by sprinkling a teaspoon of unprocessed bran on it.

3. Eat a baked potato for your main course. Top your potato with reduced-fat cheese, fresh mushrooms, reduced-fat bacon pieces, and more.

4. Use broth, water, or wine to saute your food in. Instead of using oil or butter.

5. Instead of putting frosting on cakes, top them with fresh fruit. Use slices of fresh fruit like apples, peaches, or bananas.

6. Order vegetable toppings for your pizza like mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, and onions. Instead of extra cheese and ground beef.

7. Instead of using butter or margin, try powdered butter.

8. Ask questions about ingredients in food when you are dinning out. Ask them how your food is prepared.

9. When grilling food avoid over cooking it. To prevent flare ups, remove all the fat.

10. Drink plenty of water. Drinking water will make you feel full and cause you to eat less.

11. Try plain yogurt and add fresh fruit instead of buying fruited yogurt.

12. When cooking stir-fryes add more vegetables than meat.

13. Keep low fat, healthy snacks in your house. For example fruit, vegetables, flavored rice cakes, and fruit bars.
