Why an iPhone is the best tool for an internet marketer
Buy an iPhone, seriously..
I know there have been a few posts on this site regarding iPhones, but today I’m here to tell you why an iPhone is essential for a business man, blogger, internet marketer or even a stay at home mom. First off I would like to say that this isn’t a paid post and I truely believe that the iPhone is one of the best things to hit planet earth.
Early this year, I decided to purchase the iPhone, after hearing mixed reviews and testimonials from a bunch of people I figured it was time, so I hopped over to the local electronics store and made the buy. Fortunately for me there was a ridiculous sale on where an 8gb iPhone was going for 250 pounds, which is quite cheap over here and anywhere for that matter. Here is why I think it is a godsend.
One final thing before I start, if your iPhone isn’t jailbroken then you’re missing out. So keep that in mind.
The Plethora of Applications
Probably the most influencial thing to contribute to the rise of the iPhone is that the applications that Apple offers to its iPhone users are phenomenal. Sure there are a few pointless ones but there is everything you need to customize your phone however you want and if it’s jailbroken well then you are open to a whole slew of other nifty little add ons. For bloggers there are apps like “Twitterific” which house an amazing Twitter interface and make it easy (and fun) to send your tweets around the world.
For people that take advantage of RSS, there are great news aggregators like “Newsstand” and “SmartRSS” which provide outstanding support for all types of feeds and boast unmatched service. If you are like me and are constantly on the go this is really a godsend. Whether it be talking to your friends via skype, yahoo or even aim or checking your latest emails in a user friendly client the iPhone will give you it and so much more.
The current applications I use to manage my online and real world life consist of the following:
“Newsstand” for RSS Aggregation
“iConvert” for Excellent conversion options
“DC” for Decision Calculation
“AccountsLite” to manage my cash flow and bank accounts.
“Cycorder” for a video camera (jailbroken only)
“Mxtube” for youtube video watching AND downloading (jailbroken only)
“Twitterfic premium” for Twitter compatibility
The inbuilt mail client for email checking.
Even I haven’t harnessed the full power of iPhone apps yet and I know for a fact there a bunch of other tools I could take advantage of, but I’ll get to it when I can.
User Friendliness
Apple did a great job when implementing user friendliness into the design of the iPhone, iTunes and Appstore. All three integrate extremely well from the iPhone and make it so that even an infant is able to download applications, songs, podcasts and much more. Instructions are clearly laid out and due to the lack of buttons on the actual iPhone all confusion that could have been present is gone.
Of course if problems do arise you will always find what you are looking for by just performing a search. From my experience within an hour of playing with it, you will find yourself adept at the art of navigating the iPhone.
Interface
I don’t think they could have pulled out a better interface and with the endless amounts of themes and customizations, you will never find yourself wanting Apple to make something better because you can do it yourself with theme customization tools. Although I was never a fan of touch screen cell phones I have to hand it to Apple, because although there are a few inconsistancies, it is still better than 99% of the other touch phones I have seen out there.
Conclusion
In conclusion with a buffet of applications and customizations available, the iPhone is the perfect tool for any internet marketer or anyone for that matter. It is perfect for on the go communication, supports excellent financial managment and website development tools and more news options then you will ever see. If you are in need for a complete business management tool that you will ENJOY using then I highly recommened you get one of these babies.
