Why is Vuze 4.0 better than all other torrent apps?

Vuze 4.0 - The leader in torrent technology

The new version of Vuze was released to the public today (formerly Azureus) and right off the mark it boasts a sleek new interface that should instantly captivate even the worst of skeptics. I would like to say that I am not just biased towards Vuze as I also use other torrent apps such as utorrent and Opera’s built in browser client.

A great new feature that comes standard with Vuze 4.0 is the ability to have subscriptions to all your favorite shows, torrents, etc and get updates and automatic downloads for them every time new content is available. Although this feature is available on other applications and it came with earlier versions with Azureus, it required a downloaded plug in. This version of the application makes it nice and easy to quickly get access to your favorite audio and video, not to mention convenient.

The new Vuze 4.0 HD network now offers a larger variety of high definition content and supports a wide range of webseries and video clips. It also makes downloading HD content as easy as ever with helpful hints, comments and descriptions next to all the Vuze HD featured content, you can even stream it before downloading. If you are a fan of the Vuze HD network you will find the new version to be even easier and user friendly than before. One can also publish and share content between friends and upload own personal clips or webseries’ to the Vuze network.

The only thing that I found lacking from the new Vuze is it’s inbuilt search function, it works great for content on the Vuze network but when searching for content from the other major torrents, it tends to play up and not retrieve enough results or any results for that matter. Although it’s not really that big of a deal as you can simply go to the actual torrent website, I don’t like to open up other browsers and searches if I should be able to do it properly in the 4.0 client.

For a quick overview here are the three reasons why you should get Vuze 4.0 (taken from the vuze website)

The top three reasons to download and install Vuze:

1. Intuitive new design. Vuze is now the easiest way to Find, Download and Play high quality & HD content.
2. The Vuze HD Network offers loads of free HD content.

3. You can now subscribe Subscribe to your favorite series or publishers, and have their content sent to you automatically.

In conclusion Vuze 4.0 is currently the leader in offering user friendly free content inside a new and stylish client. Vuze 4.0 is the fastest it’s ever been and actually uses less of your computers memory now. The earlier version used to eat up way more virtual memory, so thats always a bonus. The possibilities are endless for the Vuze team and I can only see their services and products getting better and better.

Do not download this. The install the Ask toolbar even when you specifically ask not to. It also installs one of the biggest and ugliest toolbar without permission. Use µTorrent, Deluge or Transmission for your Bittorrent client. For the rest which is basically trailers and ads, just go to Youtube or any other video sharing sites.

I agree, the ask toolbar is pointless. But you don’t need to install it when you are installing Vuze 4.0 just uncheck the box.

The Linux version doesn’t install any toolbars and it is rock solid. I’ve been a uTorrent user (on Windows and Linux under Wine) since its inception, but this new Vuze client is worth giving a shot.
